Wishing you and yours a Happy New Year, Gerda! I am crocheting a few more little wreath ornaments to give away tonight to some friends who are gathering to celebrate the new year. And I have been practicing the continental style knitting ...I need a lot more practice :) xx

Welcome to my blog

I'm so glad you're visiting me on Number 11. I'm Gerda, mother of two sons, partner to Gerard. For over 25 years I've worked as a nurse in a psychiatric hospital. 5 years ago we moved to a 90 years old house in a "Hanzestad" (hanseatic city), a little old city in Holland, near the river IJssel. Here we live our daily life, filled with simple things like going for a walk or bike rides in the countryside, slowly renovating our house, crocheting and knitting, creating bears and dolls, visiting local flea markets and shops.
